We will discuss capabilities, a core component of business architecture. Business architecture is working with capabilities and value streams to provide guidance and insight into an initiative.
Business architecture can exist within a domain while working on an initiative. Or you can have a business architecture practice in Enterprise Architecture or attached to Strategy.
Here we will look at the business analysis practice using business architecture within the business analysis practice.
What is Business Architecture?
Aligning an initiative and or solution to a defined need or strategy.
Strategy can be enterprise, operations, goals, initiative, objectives and more.
Where Does Business Architecture Occur?
The required business architecture in an initiative can be built by the practitioner.
The required business architecture in an initiative can be applied by the practitioner in cooperation with enterprise architecture assets.
What is the Scope of Business Architecture?
Business architecture always allows the initiative to align its solution’s value proposition to the applicable strategy.
Business architecture always allows the initiative to have an end-to-end view of the project / product / process / etc.
