SQL FOR DATA ANALYTICS

In this 30 hour SQL for Data Analytics workshop you will be able to confidently perform data data analysis. You will gain the knowledge and skills needed to understand what Structured Query Language (SQL) will deliver and how it deliver the information.  You will be have the capacity to answer business questions, using Microsoft SQL (MSSQL). And you will have the capacity to deliver a visualization of the data using Tableau.

The participants have voted! We are meeting in Room E430, George Brown College Casa Loma Campus, 146 Kendal Avenue, Toronto, ON.



Software To Be Used

You will be using your own computer. We are using Microsoft Access.  You can also use MSSQL Products if you have that installed.

Jing Yan

Jing has 10 years of experience in the IT industry. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce at McGill University majoring in Management Information Systems. She has spent the last 6 years doing data analytics with large amounts of financial, HR and customer data at TD Bank within TD Wealth and TD Merchant Services. She has exceptional SQL query manipulation skills and is always thriving for the simplest, most efficient business solutions to serve her clients’ needs.

 

Throughout the course of her career, Jing has built and designed several database tools from scratch to support reporting needs of businesses using MS Access, MS Excel and Tableau. She has worked with up to 3,000,000 lines of large data sets and dissected them into useful information for stakeholders. She has strong expertise in database Best Practices and querying strategies to ensure simplicity and accuracy of data results.

 

Jing has experience delivering training to educate new hires in the corporate environment. Her teaching style is engaging, fun, and offers a very positive environment that is conducive to effective learning.

Payment Policy

The IIBA Toronto Workshop fees must be paid upon registration in the Workshop prior to attending. Pricing, registration terms, and conditions are subject to change without notice.

 

IIBA Toronto Chapter reserves the right to make changes to the Workshop described or to cancel the Program at any time without notice or liability. The Chapter's sole liability will be limited to the refund of registration fees paid in respect of the Workshop and the Chapter shall not be responsible for any incidental or consequential loss arising whatsoever. The Chapter will endeavor to give enrollees as much advance notice as possible of any change to the Program or registrant’s enrollment.

 

Registration Fee

The registration fee covers participation only.

 

Refund Policy

Cancellations will be allowed prior to 5 day of the Workshop start date and a full refund will be issued. Cancellations will not be permitted within 5 days of the Workshop start date; however, substitutions will be permitted. It is up to the registrant to find and arrange a substitute. The Chapter will process the substitution by changing the registrant name but is not responsible for any financial transactions between the registrants.

 

No refunds will be issued within 5 days of the Workshop start date. If a registrant does not attend the Workshop and has not given adequate notification, it will result in full forfeiture of the registration fee.
