Description

Are you in the cloud? Are your devices on the cloud? Are you taking full advantage of what the cloud does? You’ve heard about people in the cloud, now you can learn how the cloud changes the way you work with computers. Whether you’re self-employed, part of a company or exploring new horizons. Take flight and soar with a new approach on cloud computing.

Format

Bring your laptops, WIFI is available from the library. Intimate small group sessions, discussions with a live Q and A element added for fun.

Objectives

  • What is the cloud? (what it ACTUALLY is)
  • The benefits of working in the cloud
  • How to fly

Agenda: 6:00 – 7:00pm Lecture followed by a Demo/Labs from 7:00 – 8:00pm

Workshop Presenter

Join Ian Strasbourg, IT Professional and Instructor, for an informative session on the cloud. 

Ian shares his take on the benefits of using cloud services as an individual. Whether you’re self-employed, part of a company or exploring new horizons. Take flight and soar with a new approach on cloud computing.

Ian is currently working as a Technical Specialist at Global Knowledge. He’s also the lead instructor part of the Pre-Employment Program, a collaboration between Global Knowledge and The Covenant House youth homeless shelter. With over 10 years’ experience as an IT Professional, Ian brings charisma and personality to the IT department. 

Note - Drop-In Clinics are part of the Toronto Chapter member benefits.  As such, the session is for Toronto Chapter Members ONLY.  Registration is required. We will not accept walk-ins as there is a maximum capacity of 25 people.
