To finish off 2014 with a bang, the IIBA Toronto Chapter will be hosting a Volunteer Kaizen Event.

2014 has been a huge year for the Chapter, with a large increase in membership and interest in volunteering. Our challenge now is to ensure that we have interesting tasks for our volunteers that are beneficial for both the Chapter and the individual.

Kaizen, roughly translated from Japanese as 'good change' is a method used to help organisations continuously improve. A Kaizen Event is a session in which we identify and develop many improvements in a short period of time.

The focus of this session will be to further develop the Chapter's volunteer program, allowing volunteers themselves to shape the future. Volunteers will be assigned to small groups to work on several small tasks, each with the aim of improving the volunteer program.

Being a daytime session in the busy holiday period, it is understood that many of you will be unable to attend. However, those who are on break or are otherwise available, we welcome your participation!

Volunteers are welcome to attend for a portion of the session. If available, please bring a laptop for access to online resources and materials, though this is not required.

Should you be unable to attend, another session will be planned in the evening or weekend throughout early 2015.

Look forward to seeing you on Friday!
