Details 


In this session, attendees will be introduced to a number of core concepts that are crucial to the generation of valuable estimates and forecasts in an agile environment. Through examples, attendees will leave with a set of tools that can be immediately applied to their teams’ backlogs.


Specifically, we will explore:


  • Why estimates are important
  • Why estimating is difficult for humans, and what we can do about it
  • When Scrum Teams estimate
  • User Story composition
  • Planning Poker (An agile estimation technique)
  • What to do when an estimated item is too large
  • How to translate solid estimation practices into valuable forecasts


There will be time set aside at the end for Q&A.
