Description


There is a perception today that the business analyst is not a required functional role for agile teams. In many agile organizations, business analysis skills and their importance to project success is not well understood.


Dananthi will help the business analyst understand making the transition to an agile development environment where they can apply their expertise and experiences to make a huge impact on the quality of the products being developed. Using the IIBA BABOK v2.0, Dananthi will outline a variety of ways business analysts can be engaged on an agile project.


Dananthi will show how the BABOK v2.0 relates to working on an agile project and talk about how it maps to the role of a Product Owner.

Using Requirements Management and Communication knowledge area, and all of the tasks and activities related to:

  • Manage Solution Scope & Requirements
  • Manage Requirements Traceability
  • Maintain Requirements for Re-use
  • Prepare Requirements Package and
  • Communicate Requirements

Participants will earn a CDU and PDU credit.

    Dananthi is the Agile Coach and Trainer for OpenText, a large software development organization, where she conducts training sessions and workshops to help teams transition to an agile project management framework. As a change agent her focus is on helping individuals and teams resolve their challenges by taking a non-directive approach to coaching and building self-organized, high performing teams within the organization. Dananthi’s skills and experiences relate to her career roles as a, project manager, trainer, agile coach, senior business analyst and programmer.
     
    Among her achievements are Pragmatic Marketing Certified (levels I, II & III); Certified Project Management Professional; Certified Agile Project Manager and Certified Scrum Professional.
